DECEMBER 27 UPDATE: A 30-year-old man who walked out of the emergency department of Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital on Christmas Eve was found safe and well today.

Police and the hospital had feared for the safety of Samuel George Yates (pictured) after he left the hospital on Christmas Eve.

Police spokeswoman Naomi Smith said Mr Yates was found “safe and well” today in the Perth CBD.

Acting Sergeant Smith said Mr Yates was now in the care of staff at the hospital.
