The intersection of Roe and Fitzgerald Streets in Northbridge resembles a disused quarry right now, but a four-storey complex will soon rise from the demolition site to accommodate 500 police officers.
For the first time, oneperth.com.au can reveal plans of the new inner-Perth police headquarters that will operate around the clock.
The centre will house a police station, watch house and a Magistrates Court that will function six days a week.

Overnight detention of up to 72 people will be possible, with the short-term lockup of 40 people feasible on top of that.
The new centre will largely replace the rundown, brown brick centre that stands on Beaufort Street opposite the WA Museum.
